Dr. Hongjian He graduated from Guangzhou Medical College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1983 with a degree in Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She then completed 3 years of residency training in Internal Medicine at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital. The China-Japan Friendship Hospital is one of the world’s most prestigious hospitals for Integrated Western and Chinese Medicine and is located in Beijing, China. Dr. He moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1988, and has been developing her passion and dedication for practicing Chinese Medicine ever since. She now specializes in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Nutrition to promote Natural and Holistic Healing. Dr. He believes that integrating modern medical technology with such a safe, effective, ancient, healing art is the best way to deal with chronic illnesses and disorders.

In order to deliver the highest quality of medical care, Dr. He frequently travels nationally and internationally in
order to study, teach, and exchange knowledge with the best and most respected experts in the field. In addition to her Conventional and Chinese Medical training in China, she has also  earned a PhD in Oriental Medicine. She is a well-respected and honored acupuncturist both in her community and across the nation. Dr. He received the Acupuncturist of the Year award from the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (The National Acupuncture Association) in 1999. She has also been elected for 4 terms as the President of the Florida Acupuncture Association.

Dr. He speaks fluent English and has been a guest lecturer and teacher at the University of Florida’s Shands Hospital, the University of South Florida’s Rheumatology Residency Program and several other accredited acupuncture colleges. Her office is also one of the training clinics used by USF Residents of Family Medicine who are studying Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

Dr. He is the third generation in her family to become a Physician and is extremely proud to provide health and medical care for patients. Her husband is Dr. John M. Bindeman, a highly respected Clearwater dentist, her best friend and partner. Their oldest son, Dr. John Pang, MD graduated from Johns Hopkins Medical School. He currently is a resident of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist) at the University of California-San Diego.  He plans to use acupuncture to treat Allergic Rhinitis, Sinusitis, certain types of Hearing Loss, and Dry Mouth due to radiation therapy in his future practice. Their younger son, Jeffrey, has benefited from the natural treatment of ADD and ADHD. He is doing extremely well and is currently attending the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) program at Clearwater High School. Dr. He enjoys traveling, Scuba Diving, Snow Skiing, Tai chi, Yoga and exercises regularly. She really practices what she preaches which is to live a happy, healthy, active and balanced lifestyle.
